I love clothes and am passionate about helping people to choose the clothes that help them to feel good about themselves and showcase their unique personality.
I’m a working mum, in the ‘over 50’s’ camp now and know how confidence can ebb and flow in our lives. I just relish the task of helping women and men of all ages, shapes, occupations and backgrounds to get to grips with their wardrobe and regain their style mojo. I thoroughly enjoy making the daily task of getting dressed easy.
I love working with those who run their own businesses (you ARE your business), time poor professionals who need a capsule wardrobe that portrays their personal brand and those who simply want a helping hand to put together a wardrobe of clothes that fits, flatters and functions for how they spend their time.
I have helped hundreds, (actually it’s getting into the thousands now), of clients over the last 17 years from age 11 to 83, with everything from a complete wardrobe makeover and ongoing styling help, to a simple but often equally transformational colour consultation.
I completed extensive training with Europe’s leading image consultancy prior to setting up my styling business, (in colour analysis, personal styling, make-up, men’s image, and corporate image services) and am a member of the Federation of Image Professional International ensuring I keep up to date with training and industry developments.
I have a first class honours business degree and spent the first 15+ years after university pursuing a career in Marketing, working in the Retail, Offshore and Wealth Management businesses for Barclays Bank for the majority of that time. I get the importance of personal branding in a work environment – the bottom line is that you are marketing yourself and yes, it makes a big difference even in the more casual work environments of today. I have worked with the likes of Endeavor, Allianz Insurance, Mars Petcare, Sky, HSBC, ITAU Bank, BP, CISCO, Cemex, as well as many smaller local firms to deliver Personal Branding training courses, workshops and lunch ‘n’ learn sessions. I also work with individuals on a one-to-one basis to fine tune their personal brand and work wardrobe.
I often work with retaillers (like Jigsaw, LK Bennett, Mistral, M&Co, as well as local boutiques) to deliver styling events, and enjoy volunteering for organisations like The Lighthouse charity in Woking, offering confidence-boosting styling workshops for vulnerable ladies, as well as for the Look Good Feel Better charity, offering make-up workshops for those undergoing cancer treatment. Plus I work with schools to deliver body confidence and ‘dress for you’ workshops for year 11 students about to enter the world of work or think about university interviews and applications.
My mum used to say that I ‘had a knack for clothes’ and I feel very lucky to be able to share my passion to help others. I am honestly in my happy place when let loose in people’s wardrobes, clothes shopping or just inspiring others to feel confident in their clothes. (The same cannot be said when I’m in a kitchen. I’m a loyal Hello Fresh customer – I outsourced that problem! So if clothes aren’t you’re thing, I get it, just outsource the problem to me and I’ll give you a 6-step recipe to make it easy for you too!).
I’m based in Farnham, on the Surrey Hampshire border and help clients based locally in Farnham, Fleet, Guildford, Haselmere, Camberley, Alton etc., as well as in locations across the UK. I see clients either in my Studio, in their home or in their places of work.
Is it time to invest in yourself? If so, I’d love to help. Just drop me a line or pick up the phone – 07917 663330 or kerrie@kerrieellis.co.uk.
